Homemade Coconut Creme Eggs Try making some homemade candy this year. Click on the "Everything Easter" link for more recipes. Ingredients: 3 lbs. confectioners sugar 7 ozs. coconut flakes 1/4 cup melted butter 6 oz. evaporated milk 2 lbs. melted, semi-sweet chocolate 1/2 block of paraffin wax wax paper
Directions: Cream sugar, butter, and milk together. Shape into eggs, place on waxed paper and chill. Mix melted chocolate and paraffin wax in a double boiler. Mix and stir until smooth. Dip coconut eggs in chocolate and place on a clean sheet of wax paper until cooled.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Melted wax and chocolate are very hot. These should only be handled by adults.
